Xiaomi has officially launched its latest flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, at a global launch event in Vienna. Designed with premium specifications, the new T-Series models introduce upgraded imaging capabilities developed in partnership with Leica, alongside significant improvements in display technology and battery performance.
For the first time in the T-Series line-up, both devices feature a Leica 5x telelens system, anchored by a 50-megapixel main camera. The premium 17T Pro utilizes a larger 1/1.31-inch sensor, while the standard 17T is equipped with a 1/1.55-inch sensor. The camera module supports macro photography from 30 cm, 10x optical zoom, and up to 120x AI Ultra Zoom. For video production, the Pro variant supports 4K recording at 60fps with a hardware-driven background bokeh effect.
Display and Eye Safety Innovations
The series debuts Xiaomi Vision Care, a display hardware optimization developed alongside medical experts to mitigate blue light exposure and screen flicker. The 1.5K AMOLED displays have earned a four-fold eye-care certification from testing firm TÜV Rheinland.
