Dutch pocketwear specialist Secrid and Italian luxury super sports car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini have announced a new collaboration, merging high-end automotive aesthetics with sustainable production practices.
The partnership introduces the Secrid x Automobili Lamborghini Upcycled Slimwallet+, a product crafted from premium leather offcuts sourced directly from Lamborghini’s production line in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The initiative aligns with Lamborghini’s commitment to optimizing material use and reducing waste within its manufacturing processes.
Craftsmanship and Social Impact
Beyond the use of automotive-grade materials, the collaboration highlights a commitment to social responsibility. The wallets are assembled in the Netherlands within sheltered workshops, providing opportunities for skilled makers who face barriers to traditional employment.
A notable feature of this collection is its unpredictability: because the wallets utilize leftover materials from various production runs, the specific colorway of each item remains unique until it is unboxed.
Technological Integration
The collection marks the debut of Secrid’s latest innovation, the Cardprotector+. Recipient of an iF Design Award, this version features a re-engineered autolock mechanism, specifically developed to securely hold both plastic and metal cards.
The new product line is currently available through the official Automobili Lamborghini website, the brand’s flagship store, and selected retail dealers.
