The Sultanate of Oman is pushing ahead with an ambitious expansion of its high-end tourism infrastructure, confirming eight new luxury resort, eco-lodge, and wellness developments scheduled to open across the country between late 2026 and 2028.
The developments—spanning coastal retreats, high-altitude mountain lodges, and desert retreats—underscore Oman’s strategic commitment to high-yield, low-impact tourism. The country continues to position itself as a sustainable, heritage-focused alternative to the heavily urbanized destinations elsewhere in the Arabian Gulf.

The Malkai Oman (Late 2026): Moving away from the traditional single-property resort model, this concept takes guests on a curated seven-day itinerary across three distinct locations: a coastal date plantation near Muscat, the Hajar Mountains, and the dunes of A’Sharqiya Sands.

ENVI Al Jabal Al Akhdar (2027): UAE-based ENVI Lodges will make its Omani debut with an eco-glamping project situated 2,000 meters above sea level. The property will feature 30 luxury tents, mountain views, and a farm-to-table dining concept utilizing on-site gardens.

Santani Wellness Resort (2027): Developed in partnership with Sri Lanka’s Santani and state tourism body OMRAN Group, this 182-key retreat in Jabal Shams will focus on holistic health, detox, and stress management within a low-impact architectural footprint.

Anantara Bandar Al Khairan Resort (2027): Located 45 minutes southeast of Muscat, this 121-key coastal property owned by Musstir will offer cliffside chalets and private pool villas along the Gulf of Oman.

Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Muscat (2027): Marking the lifestyle brand’s entrance into the Sultanate, this Yiti Bay development will feature 140 rooms, 30 private pool villas, a marina, and an adjacent beach club.

Four Seasons Resort Muscat: OMRAN Group is developing a major beachfront footprint at Al Bustan Beach, featuring 200 hotel rooms, 100 private residences, multiple dining venues, and a private marina.

The Chedi Wadi Bausher: Designed in partnership with Rawasi Development, this property will feature a vertical, stepped architectural model built into the slopes of Jabal Bausher, approximately 30 minutes outside the capital.
