Eurostar launches ChatGPT app to streamline international rail bookings

Eurostar has announced the international launch of its official ChatGPT app, making it the first rail operator to offer the service across the UK, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

The new app allows travelers to search for Eurostar journeys directly within ChatGPT, accessing real-time schedules, travel times, and available fares using natural language via text or voice. Users can prompt the assistant for specific routes—such as comparing weekend departure times from Amsterdam to Paris or plotting multi-stop European itineraries—before being redirected to eurostar.com to complete their bookings. Account integration simply requires linking a ChatGPT profile to the Eurostar app within the platform.

The integration reflects a broader shift toward conversational AI in travel research. Eurostar aims to meet passengers on the platforms they increasingly rely on to plan trips, complementing its existing web and mobile channels with faster, more intuitive access to route information.

Looking ahead, Eurostar plans to expand the app’s capabilities to include personalized travel inspiration, interactive route map visualizations, and enhanced access to promotional fares, alongside exploring similar integrations across other digital assistant platforms.
