Golden Eagle Luxury Trains acquired by Italy’s Arsenale

Renowned rail operator Golden Eagle Luxury Trains has been acquired by Arsenale, a premier Italian hospitality group. The acquisition marks the beginning of a major new chapter for the luxury rail brand, promising to expand its portfolio of high-end global itineraries while maintaining its signature heritage and service.

Arsenale, widely known for its ultra-luxury hotels and the upcoming La Dolce Vita Orient Express, brings significant investment and hospitality expertise to the partnership. According to a statement released by Golden Eagle, the collaboration unites two companies with a shared passion for “exceptional service, authentic journeys, and timeless hospitality.”

New Horizons: Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, and Egypt

The partnership is set to accelerate several highly anticipated luxury rail projects worldwide.

  • Dream of the Desert: Scheduled to launch in late 2026, this will be Saudi Arabia’s first-ever luxury train.

  • Global Expansion: Plans are already underway to develop exclusive new rail experiences in highly sought-after destinations, including Vietnam and Egypt.

Despite the acquisition and ambitious expansion plans, Golden Eagle assured its travelers that it is business as usual for current operations.

“All existing tours will operate exactly as planned. Our commitment to delivering exceptional, seamless, and memorable rail journeys remains unchanged,” the company stated.

With Arsenale’s backing, Golden Eagle aims to elevate its on-board experience to new heights, blending its established rail heritage with world-class Italian hospitality.
