Radisson expands Dutch portfolio with opening at Schiphol

Radisson Hotel Group has officially extended its footprint in the Netherlands with the opening of the Radisson Hotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Hoofddorp. The new 281-room property, situated within the Beukenhorst Business Park, introduces a contemporary aesthetic influenced by Scandinavian design to one of Europe’s primary transit and commercial hubs.

The hotel aims to serve as a strategic base for both international corporate travelers and regional visitors. Located 7 kilometers from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and within walking distance of Hoofddorp Train Station, the property provides direct connectivity to Amsterdam’s city center and major business districts. General Manager Herman Klok noted that the opening marks a significant milestone for the brand in the region, focusing on providing the reliability expected by modern travelers while showcasing the local energy of the Schiphol area.

The architectural approach emphasizes natural light and a muted color palette of wood textures and blue-green tones. Guest accommodations include high-speed Wi-Fi, climate control, and digital streaming capabilities, while Executive Rooms feature private balconies. For the business sector, the hotel offers 300 square meters of flexible event space. This includes six meeting rooms equipped with the latest audiovisual technology and movable walls to accommodate varying group sizes and collaboration styles.

On-site dining is centered around Cloud Nine, a restaurant serving international cuisine, complemented by the Hangar Bar for social gatherings and informal meetings. For travelers on tighter schedules, a 24-hour Grab & Go shop and a modern fitness center are available.

Beyond its immediate proximity to the airport and local corporate offices, the hotel is positioned as a gateway to major Dutch attractions. Its location allows for efficient access to the Keukenhof Gardens, the coastline at Zandvoort, and the cultural landmarks of the Amsterdam Museum Quarter, making it a versatile addition to the North Holland hospitality sector.
