Vietnam Airlines aims high with new Amsterdam-Hanoi route

Starting June 16, 2026, Vietnam Airlines will launch a direct air connection between Amsterdam and Hanoi, Vietnam. The airline, represented in the Netherlands by APG Agencies, will operate three non-stop flights per week. Details regarding its network and product were clarified during a recent briefing for travel professionals at Schiphol Airport.

The route will be serviced by an Airbus A350-900. During the presentation, the carrier revealed that initial booking results are highly promising. While the scheduled service begins with three weekly flights (on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays), the airline expressed its ambition to scale up to a daily connection as soon as possible, provided success continues.

With the introduction of this flight, Vietnam’s national carrier is responding to the increasing demand for efficient travel links between Europe and Southeast Asia, particularly for the corporate market and high-end tourism. Tickets for the new route are now available in all major reservation systems.
