After a five-year absence, direct air travel between the Netherlands and Armenia is set to return this spring. FlyOne Armenia has announced the launch of a new non-stop service connecting Amsterdam Schiphol to Yerevan, marking the first time the two cities have been linked by a direct flight since 2021.
The airline plans to operate the route twice weekly, with flights scheduled for Wednesdays and Saturdays starting April 1, 2026. Travelers departing from Yerevan will leave at 17:10 local time and arrive at Schiphol by 20:40. The return flight from Amsterdam is scheduled for a late evening departure at 21:40, landing in the Armenian capital at 04:30 the following morning. The service will be carried out using an Airbus A320 aircraft.
This development is being met with enthusiasm from travel organizations who anticipate a surge in tourism to the region. Yerevan is frequently called the Pink City because of the unique rosy hue of the volcanic tuff stone used in its buildings. As one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, it offers a blend of ancient history and modern energy. Visitors often flock to Republic Square to witness the choreographed musical fountain shows or climb the limestone stairs of the Cascade Complex for a panoramic view of the city framed by the distant peaks of Mount Ararat.
