Celest, the skybar and restaurant perched atop De Zalmhaven Tower in Rotterdam, is reopening this week following a period of restoration work. The venue has opted for a phased reopening, initially focusing exclusively on hosting private and corporate events.

Phased approach
For now, Celest will cater to private gatherings such as dinners, meetings, receptions, product launches, and celebrations. “After being closed for several months, we want to carefully rebuild our operations,” says Dave Storm, Regional General Manager at Magnicity. “We have the capacity and expertise to deliver events down to the finest detail. At the same time, this phase allows us to further optimize our internal processes and strengthen our team, so that we can soon welcome à la carte guests again.”
Offer and facilities
Celest features multiple spaces ideal for a wide range of events. The restaurant accommodates up to 100 guests for a sit-down dinner, while the Skybar is suitable for receptions and gatherings of up to 250 people. The menu focuses on seasonal ingredients and can be tailored to various formats — from seated dinners to walking dinners and standing receptions. Located 190 meters above ground, Celest offers a panoramic view of Rotterdam’s skyline.
With the festive season approaching, the venue is available for corporate year-end events and private celebrations. Event bookings are now open.
