KLM has announced a new service, Change&Fly, which allows customers to add flexibility to their non-changeable Basic or Light Economy Class tickets. The service lets passengers modify their flight, date, and/or destination up to 14 days before departure. It applies to short- and medium-haul flights operated by either Air France (AF) or KLM (KL).
The new service was initially only available directly to customers. However, KLM has confirmed to the Dutch travel agency association (ANVR) that it is working to make Change&Fly accessible to travel agents through the New Distribution Capability (NDC) channel.
While the service is not yet live for agents, the ANVR stated, “KLM is in talks with the NDC development team to get clarity on the timeline. It’s a shame that it’s not available now, but the option will definitely become available for agents.”
