Schiphol Plaza welcomes new food outlet

Wingstop, the American restaurant chain known for its chicken wings in bold flavors, has opened its first location in the Netherlands at Schiphol Plaza. The branch is located in the publicly accessible part of the airport, making it easily reachable for travelers, commuters, employees, and fans alike.

With tens of thousands of daily passersby, Schiphol Plaza offers Wingstop a prime spot to enter the Dutch market. The menu features cooked-to-order, hand-sauced-and-tossed wings, fries, and the brand’s signature ranch dressing.

“We are incredibly proud and happy that Wingstop is opening its very first Dutch location at Schiphol Plaza,” said Arthur Reijnhart, Chief Commercial Officer at Royal Schiphol Group. “It’s a distinctive and popular concept that perfectly aligns with our ambition to offer surprising and high-quality food concepts to a broad audience.”

The opening is a collaboration between Wingstop and the Vermaat Group, which operates food concepts at Schiphol and other key locations. “The moment has finally arrived: Dutch flavor fans can now fully enjoy Wingstop,” said Rob Peters, Managing Director of Vermaat Netherlands.

Founded in 1994 in Dallas, Texas, Wingstop operates more than 2,650 restaurants worldwide, 98% of them run by brand partners.
