Transavia from Maastricht and Weeze Airport during closure Eindhoven

Eindhoven Airport will be closed to air traffic from 1 February to 18 July 2027 due to runway renovation works. During this period, Transavia will operate flights from Maastricht Aachen Airport and Weeze Airport (Flughafen Niederrhein) in Germany.

A key base for the region
For almost twenty years, Eindhoven Airport has been a key hub for Transavia and a trusted departure point for passengers from the east and south of the Netherlands. For passengers from this region, alternatives have been sought that remain easily accessible. Maastricht Aachen Airport and Weeze Airport are located close to Eindhoven and, just like Eindhoven Airport, are well-organised airports where passengers can quickly make their way to their destination.

Temporary changes to operations
We normally operate nine Transavia aircraft at Eindhoven Airport. During the closure, two aircraft will be temporarily relocated to Maastricht Aachen Airport and four to Weeze Airport. The remaining aircraft will be deployed as part of Transavia’s overall fleet planning, which also includes the transition to the cleaner and quieter Airbus fleet.

“The temporary closure of Eindhoven Airport presents a significant operational challenge that requires a great deal of preparation,” says Marloes van Laake, Transavia’s Chief Operating Officer. “We are pleased that, with Maastricht and Weeze, we can offer an easily accessible alternative for our passengers and staff. And at the same time, we look forward to flying again from a renovated Eindhoven Airport in the summer of 2027.”

Destinations
During the winter season, Transavia operates flights from Weeze Airport to Alicante, Málaga, Barcelona, Faro, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Lisbon, Gran Canaria, Marrakech, Seville, Tenerife and Valencia. From Maastricht Aachen Airport, Alicante, Málaga, Faro, Gran Canaria, Palma de Mallorca, Seville, Tenerife and Valencia are accessible.

Flights available to book from April 16th
Flights for the 2026–2027 winter season will go on sale on April 16th via transavia.com. Destinations for the 2027 summer season will be added later this year. The winter season runs from November 2026 to April 2027.
