OMEGA Welcomes Jutta Leerdam as Olympic Ambassador

OMEGA, the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, is honored to welcome Dutch athlete Jutta Leerdam to its family of sports ambassadors for Milano Cortina 2026.

Jutta began speed skating at a young age in the Netherlands, a country where the sport is deeply embedded in the national culture, specializing in long-distance sprints. Following a successful junior career that included multiple Junior World Championship titles, she made a strong transition to the senior level. Known for her power and consistency, Jutta has become a leading figure in women’s sprint competitions, clinching multiple World Cup titles and World Championships in both the 500m and 1000m events. She firmly established herself as one of the best speed skaters of her generation by winning a silver medal in the women’s 1000m at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

This collaboration is particularly significant given OMEGA’s long-standing connection to the Winter Games. OMEGA first served as the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Winter Games in 1936. The upcoming edition will mark 90 years in the role of Official Timekeeper. The Swiss watchmaker is once again proud to dedicate its experience, expertise, and technology to all Olympic and Paralympic events scheduled to take place in February and March 2026.

To celebrate her new partnership with OMEGA, Jutta has selected an Aqua Terra 30mm timepiece in Moonshine™ Gold and stainless steel. The watch is distinguished by its mother-of-pearl dial and diamond-set bezel.
