KLM winter 2025/26: more frequent flights to India and the Caribbean, and new destinations

KLM will increase its capacity to India by 28 percent this coming winter season compared to last year. The Caribbean is also seeing rising demand, with capacity expanded by 17 percent.

In addition, the airline is adding two new destinations to its network this winter. Starting at the end of November, KLM will operate weekly flights to Kittilä in Finnish Lapland, a popular winter destination. Barbados also returns to the schedule, served in combination with Georgetown (Guyana) three times per week.

These developments were announced on Monday in KLM’s overview of its upcoming winter schedule, which runs from 26 October 2025 through 28 March 2026.

This winter KLM will serve a total of 161 destinations: 92 within Europe and 69 intercontinental, amounting to roughly 25,000 weekly connections. “This extensive network allows travelers from across the globe to benefit from the strength of KLM’s hub. Every new destination enhances the network and opens new doors for our customers worldwide,” the airline stated.

Overall seat capacity will grow by six percent compared with last winter.

Several destinations introduced this summer will now, for the first time, feature in the winter schedule. Within Europe, Exeter and Ljubljana will be accessible daily from Amsterdam.

Intercontinentally, Hyderabad and Barbados (in combination with Georgetown) make their winter debut, with each route offered three times per week. From late February, KLM will also begin operating direct flights to San Diego, likewise three times weekly.

Between early January and late February, KLM will add extra frequencies to Delhi and Panama City, each receiving three additional weekly flights to bring the total to ten per destination. From mid-December, Bangkok will increase to ten weekly flights, while Curaçao rises to eleven.

Cape Town will be served eleven times per week throughout the entire winter season—one more than last year. Additional frequency increases are scheduled for Boston, Miami, Portland, San Francisco, Bangalore, Aruba/Bonaire, São Paulo, Lima, and San José.

Within Europe, KLM will extend service to Ibiza into November and December. After a short pause, flights will resume in February and March 2026. Extra services will also be offered during these periods to southern European cities such as Naples and Athens, as well as to Bordeaux, Gothenburg, Poznań, Cork, Leeds, and Vienna.

On the long-haul side, KLM expects delivery of its final Boeing 787-10 (number 15 in the fleet) this winter. The airline will also welcome three new Airbus A321neo aircraft. These fleet updates will enable KLM to operate more cleanly, quietly, and efficiently, according to the airline. (Photo Shutterstock).
