Eurostar adds fifth daily train between Amsterdam and London

Starting Tuesday, December 16, 2025, Eurostar will launch a fifth direct train service each day between Amsterdam and London. The additional trip will run in both directions, offering passengers more flexibility and options on the busy cross-Channel route.

This expansion is made possible by the opening of a new international terminal at Amsterdam Central Station, which began operations in February 2025. Thanks to this upgrade, capacity on the Netherlands–United Kingdom route has significantly increased — from 275 passengers per train in 2024 to over 650 by the end of this year.

Since the new terminal opened, the number of travelers between Amsterdam and London has risen by 18% compared to the period before the temporary suspension of the service.

“Amsterdam–London is one of Europe’s busiest air routes. With five daily return services and over 3,000 seats available each day, we are offering a sustainable alternative for travel between the Netherlands and the UK,” said Gwendoline Cazenave, CEO of Eurostar. “Since February, we’ve seen strong demand for the return of this direct service, and we’re pleased to continue expanding it.”

In 2024, approximately 4.3 million people traveled with Eurostar to and from the Netherlands, with Paris being the most popular destination. Eurostar aims to continue growing, with plans for a new train fleet and additional international connections — including a potential route to Geneva.
