Emirates deploying Premium Economy on even more routes

This winter, Emirates will deploy more renovated Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft on existing routes to Shanghai and Zurich. Schedules to Milan, Rio de Janeiro, and Buenos Aires will also be expanded, and Emirates will increase the number of A380 flights to Shanghai, Singapore, and Zurich.

These latest capacity expansions and the deployment of renovated aircraft are a direct response to increased demand within Emirates’ global network. This will allow even more travelers to enjoy the distinctive Emirates experience on board, with special attention to the highly acclaimed Premium Economy cabin.

Retrofit Program Emirates’ ambitious retrofit program is progressing smoothly. Every three weeks, an aircraft undergoes a complete nose-to-tail renovation. Since the program’s inception in November 2022, Emirates’ engineering team has already renovated 60 aircraft.

Latest changes to Emirates’ schedule, effective October 26: The route to Milan will be expanded with a third daily flight (EK 101/102), operated by a Boeing 777-300ER. The linked service to Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires (EK 247/248) will become a daily flight. From July 20, flight EK 302/303 to Shanghai will initially be operated by a renovated Boeing 777, followed by an Airbus A380 later this year. The second daily flight to Shanghai (EK 304/305) will be operated by a renovated Boeing 777. The third daily flight between Dubai and Singapore (EK 314/315) will be operated by an A380 from this winter. From February 1, 2026, the second daily flight to Zurich (EK 85/86) will be replaced by an A380, instead of the current renovated Boeing 777. On the same date, Premium Economy will be introduced on flight EK 87/88 to Zurich, operated by a renovated A380.

Despite recent tensions in the Middle East, Emirates’ global operations continue normally. The airline continues to expand its offerings for both the summer season and the upcoming winter.

Renovated Cabins Travelers aboard the renovated Boeing 777 and A380 aircraft can enjoy Emirates’ latest products, with an enhanced experience in all cabin classes. The four-cabin Boeing 777 is configured with six or eight First Class suites, 38 or 40 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 256 Economy Class seats. In the four-cabin A380, the Premium Economy cabin is located at the front of the main deck, with 56 seats in a 2-4-2 configuration. Each seat offers generous legroom and seating space for comfortable working and relaxing, with amenities such as charging points and a table.
