Delta Air Lines has announced a $1 billion investment in its cabin experience, introducing the next generation of its Delta One® suites on the new Airbus A350-1000 and extending suite offerings to its Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 fleet for the first time. This move solidifies Delta’s position as the U.S. carrier with the highest number of business class suites.
The new suites are the result of two years of targeted design and a decade of customer feedback. On the Airbus A350-1000, which features a cabin where 50% of seats are premium, the new Delta One suites offer a flat-bed that is over two meters long. Key enhancements include a 24-inch high-definition screen—the largest in Delta’s history—wireless charging, and smart storage solutions for personal items like shoes and eyewear.
Enhanced Privacy and Fleet-Wide Consistency
In a significant upgrade for the existing fleet, Delta is retrofitting its A330-200 and A330-300 aircraft with Delta One suites featuring full-height sliding doors for increased privacy. These aircraft will also receive a “nose-to-tail” interior refresh, aligning them with the modern cabin design Delta introduced in early 2025.
Key features across the updated fleet include:
-
Self-Service Snack Stations: A permanent “grab-and-go” station for Delta One passengers.
-
Advanced Connectivity: Bluetooth audio pairing at every seat, USB-C ports, and universal power outlets.
-
Superior Comfort: Memory foam cushions implemented across all cabin classes, including Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin.
-
High-Definition Entertainment: New cinema-quality screens powered by the Delta Sync system, offering personalized recommendations for SkyMiles members.
Commitment to Accessibility
Developed in collaboration with Delta’s Advisory Board on Disability, the new cabins feature improved accessibility. This includes a tactile seat-control system and redesigned lavatories with increased space and touch-responsive features to assist passengers with limited mobility.
The first A350-1000 aircraft are expected to enter service in early 2027. Delta anticipates that over 800 aircraft will feature the updated interior within the next five years, ensuring a consistent premium experience across its global network.
