Breitling has introduced the Lady Premier, a contemporary reinterpretation of the brand’s Premier Fantaisies models from the 1940s. The new line combines bright tones, stepped diamond settings, and ombré finishes to create a modern expression of playful elegance.
The collection pays tribute to the women who shaped Breitling’s past and continue to influence its future. Long before wristwatches became popular among men, women had already embraced them — a shift that helped define Breitling’s design philosophy. In the 1940s, Willy Breitling launched the Premier line, transforming the chronograph from a precision instrument into a style statement, with refined materials and elegant details. His wife, Beatrice, became both his muse and a key creative influence.
Over the decades, Breitling watches have graced the wrists of confident women, including Raquel Welch in the 1960s spy film Fathom. That spirit of bold femininity continues in the new Lady Premier line, which introduces flowing case shapes, ombré alligator straps, and silk-like dials. The retro-inspired name recalls Breitling’s women’s models of the 1980s, such as the Lady-J and Wings Lady.
The Lady Premier collection features 36 mm automatic models in stainless steel, powered by the COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 10 with a 42-hour power reserve. They come in aubergine, sage, and dove-grey tones, with an 18-karat gold version paired with a shaded chocolate strap. The 32 mm versions feature mother-of-pearl, ink blue, or midnight black dials and are equipped with the SuperQuartz™ Caliber 77 movement for high precision.
Design details include flowing diamond lines from the lugs to the bezel, contrasting surface finishes for depth and light, and a newly designed seven-row Chevron bracelet offering a softer, more feminine interpretation of the men’s Premier link design. In line with Breitling’s commitment to responsible sourcing, the Lady Premier uses traceable lab-grown diamonds and responsibly mined gold.
