Barrio Life puts Morocco on the map with study trips for MICE Professionals

At the end of October, travel organization Barrio Life hosted two inspiring study trips through Morocco — a country as diverse as it is magical. Study Trip for Independent Travel Advisors and Leisure Specialists

The first trip, designed for the leisure market, followed a varied route from Marrakech to Fes, featuring dramatic gorges, the silence of the Sahara, and atmospheric cities steeped in craftsmanship. Along the way, participants met the owners of small-scale accommodations and experienced popular activities from the leisure segment, such as cycling through Marrakech’s souks and a camel trek through the desert.

Tailored for independent travel advisors and specialists in bespoke travel, the journey gave participants the opportunity to experience Morocco the way couples and families do — making it far easier to advise and inspire their clients authentically.

Study Trip for Corporate and Group Travel Specialists

The second study trip focused on professionals active in the corporate, incentive, and group travel sector. Following a compact yet diverse itinerary, the group traveled from the Atlantic coastline around Agadir and Taghazout to vibrant Marrakech — the key hotspots for business and group travel in Morocco.

Participants explored hotels and venues well-suited for groups and corporate events. They also experienced several unique activities, such as an overnight stay in a desert camp and a hot air balloon flight — experiences increasingly popular in the MICE segment.

Like the first trip, this study program was fully catered and offered free of charge to specialized independent advisors, incentive agencies, corporate travel planners, and event bureaus.
