Atout France successfully welcomed Dutch MICE professionals to an immersive inspiration event in Amsterdam on 27 November. The gathering, held from 15:45 to 20:00, marked a renewed connection with the Dutch market and showcased fresh opportunities for meetings and events in France. The highlight of the afternoon was a preview of the upcoming Claude Monet centenary celebrations taking place in 2026.
Looking ahead to Monet 2026
In 2026, France will commemorate 100 years since the passing of Claude Monet, the pioneering artist who shaped the impressionist movement. Major cultural events are planned across Normandy and the Paris Region. During the Amsterdam event, attendees were treated to an introduction to these upcoming festivities. Monet’s historical ties with the Netherlands were also spotlighted, including his Dutch-inspired works Tulip Fields near The Hague and Houses by the Bank of the River Zaan.
An immersive programme: from light art to floral cuisine
The afternoon began with a visit to La Fabrique des Lumières in Westerpark, where guests experienced a captivating digital art show dedicated to Monet’s masterpieces. The programme continued in “Monet’s kitchen,” where participants took part in a creative cuisine des fleurs workshop — an opportunity to reveal their inner chef.
Alongside the cultural and culinary elements, the event offered ample opportunities for one-on-one meetings with French partners. The combination of networking, inspiration and hands-on activities created a dynamic atmosphere, with participants praising the engaging format and valuable insights for future MICE projects in France.
