At an exclusive gathering in Amsterdam, JetBlue unveiled its strategic roadmap for the coming year to over twenty prominent trade partners. Led by Maja Gedosev, GM Europe, the New York-based airline emphasized Boston’s pivotal role as a focus city and the rollout of new premium amenities.
Boston: More Than a Destination
While JetBlue operates daily service between Amsterdam Schiphol and Boston, the carrier is repositioning the city as more than just a terminal point. During the presentation, Boston was highlighted as an ideal family-friendly city-break destination and—crucially—a gateway to smaller U.S. cities and the Caribbean.

There are also the ‘Even More’ seats, ‘an affordable premium product offering with more legroom, seats in the front, priority boarding, and fast-track securi
Navigating Market Complexity
The presentation, held at Amsterdam’s Restaurant Nim, did not shy away from current industry challenges. While transatlantic corporate travel remains stable, the leisure segment is facing a sector-wide downturn.
Industry discussions centered on the hope that consumers will look past current political volatility and continue to value the U.S. for its hospitality and diversity. Potential catalysts for a market rebound include the favorable exchange rate, aggressive pricing strategies, and the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
