Emirates Group breaks new half-year profit record

The Emirates Group has reported a pre-tax profit of 3.3 billion euros for the first half of the 2025-26 financial year – a new half-year record and the fourth consecutive year of record results. Net profit reached 2.9 billion euros, up 13 percent compared to last year. Revenue increased by 4 percent to 20.6 billion euros.

According to HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group, the growth in profit was mainly driven by continued strong demand for air travel and the growing customer preference for Emirates’ products and services. ‘Our strong profitability enables us to continue investing in innovation, technology, and our people,’ said Sheikh Ahmed.

The Group’s cash position reached a record 15.2 billion euros, while its workforce grew by 3 percent to nearly 125,000 employees.

New destinations and fleet expansion

In the first half of the financial year, Emirates added new destinations including Danang, Siem Reap, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou, and increased flight frequencies to Johannesburg, Muscat, and Rome. The network now covers 153 airports in 81 countries.

The airline took delivery of five new Airbus A350s and rolled out 23 fully refurbished aircraft as part of its 5 billion euro retrofit programme. The popular Premium Economy class is now available on flights to 61 cities.

Investments and sustainability

On the ground, Emirates opened the exclusive check-in area ‘Emirates First’ in Dubai for First Class passengers and Platinum Skywards members, and launched new retail stores in Accra, Bangkok, Geneva, and Osaka.

In terms of sustainability, Emirates uplifted Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) at 37 airports and joined the Aviation Circularity Consortium to promote circular processes within the aviation industry.

The airline also expanded its global sponsorship portfolio, signing new multi-year partnerships with FC Bayern Munich, Real Madrid Basketball, and the ATP Tour (through 2030).

With a 5 percent increase in capacity, Emirates carried 27.8 million passengers in the first six months of 2025-26, up 4 percent compared to the same period last year.
